1. Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, authentication details, and basic account preferences.

Connected Pinterest information. When you choose to connect Pinterest, BetterBoards may receive the Pinterest account identifier, boards, Pins, images or image references, descriptions, source links, and other metadata that Pinterest makes available through its approved API and the permissions you authorize.

Your workspace content. We may store notes, tags, plans, categories, searches, and other changes you make inside BetterBoards.

Technical information. We may collect limited device, browser, log, and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide BetterBoards, connect to services you authorize, import and organize saved content, power search and classification features, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, and communicate about the service.

BetterBoards is designed to operate on your saved content. We do not use your connected Pinterest account to publish Pins, follow users, or perform actions you have not authorized.

3. Pinterest connection

BetterBoards uses Pinterest’s official authorization flow. You choose whether to connect an account and which permissions to grant. Pinterest may process information under its own privacy policy and terms.

You can disconnect Pinterest from BetterBoards at any time. Disconnecting stops future access; you can also request deletion of previously imported BetterBoards data.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with vendors that help us host, secure, authenticate, store, or operate BetterBoards. These providers may process information only to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service and its users, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, security, or operational requirements. You may ask us to delete your account and workspace data. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period before it is removed through normal backup cycles.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Pinterest access tokens and other credentials are intended to be handled server-side and should never be shared publicly.

7. Children’s privacy

BetterBoards is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BetterBoards changes. We will update the effective date when we make changes and will provide additional notice when required.
